Zavrč Manor
The most historically important building in Zavrč is the manor standing on a hill, dating from the early 17th century. It is believed to have evolved from the original manor of Jakob Szekely of Borl. The manor features a beautiful arcaded inner courtyard. It was owned by the Ulm family, prominent wine merchants, vintners, and large landowners, who also operated the nearby Drava Cellar – known as the Ulm Cellar. The manor once served as a political and judicial centre, but today it houses apartments and other facilities. While it no longer contains historical artefacts, it remains a striking building well worth a visit.
